Clarice
Scriber, President and CEO of Clarity Consulting, Inc., draws on
more than 25 years of experience in financial services and the
media in her work with senior level executives. In addition to
coaching executives to deliver excellent results, Clarice works
with leaders to help them enhance their interpersonal and
presentation skills. As such, she leverages a decade of work as
a speechwriter, years as a professor of speech communication,
and her considerable experience in media and public relations.
Clarity’s clients include executives in the corporate,
government and nonprofit arenas. For the past three years,
Clarice has served on the faculty of the
Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Program, where she
trains and supervises prospective coaches.
Clarice
believes that leaders must find their voice and leadership style
that work within the parameters of their organizations. As a
coach and consultant, Clarice works with clients to assist them
in maximizing their strengths and identifying ways to use them
to reach their goals. Her coaching enables executives and their
teams gain clarity and alignment around their organizations
missions and values so that they can implement a strategy that
supports the overall’s company’s goals and objectives. It is
her belief that to perform over time with stellar results,
executives must find balance and live in integrity with their
values. As such, she works in tandem with clients to help them
demonstrate mastery, and to acquire the leadership style that
energizes them and motivates others.
Prior to
creating her coaching practice, Clarice was an executive coach
at Fannie Mae, where she coached senior executives and also
designed and managed the company’s leadership development
programs for senior leaders and high potential managers. Before
becoming a coach, Clarice was an executive speech writer for
Fannie Mae’s Office of the Chairman. Earlier in her career she
was Information Services Manager for a top 20 network-affiliated
televisions station. In that position, she was responsible for
crafting and communicating the organization’s message to
national press and local media.
Clarice earned
her coaching certification through the
New
Ventures West Professional Coaching Course. She holds a
Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola
College in Baltimore (1997), and a Masters of Arts degree in
Communications from The Annenberg School of Communications,
University of Pennsylvania (1976). She earned her undergraduate
degree in French from (the former) Morgan State College in
1971. She is qualified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the
FIRO-B, Baron EQ-i, (Emotional Intelligence), Benchmarks, 360
Custom By Design, and she has worked with the Leadership Profile
Inventory.
